About Marc
Nominated as one of the Top 20 MMA Coaches of All Time, 2018 Coach of the Year by the World MMA Awards and winner of the 2012 and 2014 MMA Coach of the Year by the Colorado MMA Awards, Marc Montoya is a world-renowned fighter-turned instructor, Jiu-Jitsu black belt, kidney cancer survivor, 5-time marathoner and owner of Factory X in Englewood, Colorado where he has been fighting, training & coaching mixed martial arts for over 20 years; guiding hopeful fighters from their first day on the mat to retiring inside the UFC. Marc's life, team and family foundations have all been structured around Proverbs 27:17, “Iron Sharpens Iron;” the fruits of this life mission reflected most importantly in his marriage of over 25 years to his wife, Jarah, as well as their two adult children, Brooklyn and Wyatt.
